I am working in a BPO industry and have a six year old child. I hardly have time to attend to my daughter’s studies. My mother who stays with me looks after all the child’s needs. This is a very comfortable situation I know and I shouldn’t be cribbing. But I have seen how occasionally young mothers get together in school and make friends. In the bargain, children too get a larger friend circle. Such mothers are able to share experiences and use each other as a sounding board.
My mother seems to know more about my daughter than I do. I feel grateful for this because this means that my daughter is totally comfortable with the situation. But sometimes I feel very jealous and wonder if I am missing out on a great deal in life. When my daughter grows up, will she have any good memories of me at all?
