Paint’em Pretty!Planning for that party for the last few days, aren’t you? You know exactly what you will be wearing, which shoes, which bag, the jewellery….but aren’t you forgetting something? How about your nails?

  • Make sure you keep enough time aside. Avoid rushing through things for the perfect effect!
  • Remove old nail polish, trim and file your nails. This can be done a day in advance.
  • Keep a bottle of nail polish remover handy, so that you can quickly address any mistakes you make while painting your nails.
  • Don’t use cotton to remove smudged or lumpy nail polish. It may get stuck to the other painted nails. Use a tissue/ nail pad instead.
  • Apply a base coat so that you don’t end up with jaundiced nails! Allow it to dry well.
  • Apply a strip of nail polish in the center of the nail, and follow it up with quick strokes on the right and left on the nail. Ensure that it looks smooth.
  • The second coat should be applied evenly. Remember it will give your nails the final finish.
  • Finish with a coat of transparent nail varnish, to prevent your nail polish from chipping, and for that essential professional look!
  • In a hurry to dry your nails? Place your fingers under running water or use a hair dryer.
  • Do not shake the bottle of nail varnish vigorously. This can cause air bubbles to form. In stead, roll it gently between your palms
