All That Glitter
All things vintage is in now. It goes for makeup too. Burnished gold and copper rule the catwalks – making up the eyes. You can go from bright gold to burnished. Play with different gold tones from white, to yellow to rose. We show you how.
Face: Prep your face with a makeup primer to get a smooth finish. Then even out your skin tone with a liquid foundation. Opt for a sheer finish.
Eyes: Use a matte beige shadow on the crease of your lid. Blend in a matte dark brown shadow close to the upper lashes and along the bottom lash line. Then take three metallic shades in yellow gold, rose gold, and copper. Apply the yellow gold on the inner corner of your eyes, rose gold on the centre of the lid, and copper on the outer corner extending out. Blend well. Use a domed fluffy brush for this. Once the colour is in place brush the top and bottom lashes with black volumising mascara and groom the brows with a pencil and clear setting gel.
Cheeks: Highlight your cheekbones with a bronzing powder. Contour your bone structure with this.
Lips: Apply a matte rose or peach lipstick. Don’t draw your mouth. Put a slick of peach gloss for a shiny finish.
