Sweat Proof Yourself
We know that sweating is a natural process and it’s hard to stop this bodily function entirely. However, when you know it can ruin your image, implement these tips to keep your cool in the sweaty monsoon months.
No hot baths: Baths are useful for eliminating toxins through an increased body temperature. But it induces sweating. So run your shower to cold when bathing in the morning.. Use soap or body wash and shampoo with menthol in them.
Spray on deo: You will need to layer your deodorants. Use the versions that has anti-perspirant and sweat-block actives. As you get out of the bath, use an anti-perspirant deo stick on your under arms. Then spray the deo liberally all over your body. Keep your underarms hair-free. That prevents BO and other infections.
Natural fibres: On particularly hot days, go for fabrics like cotton, or linen instead of polyester or other synthetics and blended fabrics. Natural fibers allow your skin to breathe more, meaning you’ll sweat less.
Say no to hot foods: Spicy foods may taste great, but they also make you sweat more. Avoid dishes that have red chili and garlic in them. They not only make you sweat more frequently in shorter periods of time, they also add to the BO. Drinking mint based juices also help in keeping you cool, which prevents sweating.
Chilled water a must: This is one liquid that can kill the other. Keep a bottle of chilled water with you always. Drink up whenever you feel sweat coming. It cools your body down. You can use this chilled water to splash on your face and neck when outside under the hot sun to wash off sweat and grime.
