For girls with dry dehydrated skin, try this exfoliating and moisturising scrub that offers two in-one action. It hydrates your skin while sloughing off dead skin layer. Take 2/3 cup of ground nuts like almond or peanut, 1/3 cup oatmeal, rice flour, gram flour or whole wheat flour and enough liquid like yogurt or milk to make a paste. Combine the dry ingredients in a blender until they are reduced to a coarse powder. Take about 1/4th cup of the powder and make a smooth paste with your choice of liquid. Apply over your face and body and leave on for five minutes. Scrub using a circular motion and rinse off with water. Use after bath body oil to seal in moisture.
Orange and Lentil Water Rinse: Keep aside the water that was used for washing lentils. Boil the rind of three oranges in water and set aside to cool. Blend the two and use as a last rinse after shampooing. It tightens the pores in the scalp to control oil and adds a fresh scent to your hair.
