What do people working in the corporates do when they are victims of domestic violence? Many of these cases follow them to work and sometimes the boss is forced to help the victim because the victim has no one else to turn to. Some of the corporates in America rally around their co-worker not because they want to make it a psychic hospital but because they have no other choice. Domestic violence is a topic that is not even spoken of in whispers in the States because it carries a stigma.
Stays at Home
Some CEOs believe that they are dragged into the issue of domestic abuse because women are connected to the office from their homes via mails, the cell phone and even texting. HR is realising that if even if there is a single victim of domestic violence in the workforce, it ultimately affects the lives of all because one in ten is a victim. So that workers do not have to juggle with both the workplace and their violent personal lives alone, many companies have decided that there must be a policy to help out these silently suffering victims. This is certainly a move to look forward to.
