Casuals Fridays are a recent trend in India and something that still leaves the average employee guessing on how she comes turned out to work. The concept was introduced to let employees wear what they are comfortable wearing, at least once a week. But it stops there: it does not meaning stepping over the invisible line that the company has in mind.
Dressing Down
Dressing down however does not mean tight or revealing clothes or the trendy torn jeans. Jeans with a combination of the right belt and shoes still spell business for the client. It also means no miniskirts or spaghetti-strap attires. In short, casual Fridays do not mean already getting into something that you can wear to that Friday Night party of yours. For women, it also means no chunky jewellery or excessive makeup. What the company means is business casuals and not the kind of clothes that you wear at home!
