Video games have always been denounced because they turn the gamer into an anti-social recluse. News now has it that it actually gets the gamer more involved with friends and with the community! Very few gamers seem to play alone; most of them join friends or an online community which in turn helps them keep in touch with the happenings around the world. Some use these games to learn more about the environment and even about the political systems of the world.

Monitor

While the findings look positive, experts however insist that the games played by children and teenagers be monitored so that parents understand what they do in their games and also what they look for in games (are they in it for the love of violence?). Parents could also suggest games that will help their children become more socially equipped. The parent`s role today is quite taxing, isn`t it?
