Debbie Phelps, mother of Michael Phelps, has many reasons to celebrate. Her son is the winner of 15 Olympic medals (and 13 gold ones). She has been officially declared JOHNSONS'S (R) Baby Mom of the Olympic Games in recognition of her contribution towards the achievement. The company is a division of Johnson& Johnson, the producer of the well-known baby products. The celebration is in honour of women like Debbie all over the world; women who have helped their children take the first step towards the Olympic medals.
A much elated Debbie says that the most difficult thing for a mother is tell herself that her children would do well and do the right thing in their lives without the guiding hand of their mother. This time the Olympics is focussing on the personal side of athletes, of the kind of relationship that they have with their mothers and how their mothers have motivated and encouraged them to reach where they are now. Hurrah for mothers!
