Young working couples are somehow able to manage their children by sending them to a play school or even a day care centre. But managing an ageing parent or relative at home presents a lot of hurdles. So what is the solution? A day care centre for senior citizens! IIM graduate, Srividya Viswanathan has come up with this unique concept in Chennai, where senior citizens can get together in a spacious centre and pursue their hobbies or just spend time with each other. Delhi already got one of these creches earlier in the year.

It's not as if these people have to be picked up and dropped. Some of them are energetic enough to go on their own and look forward to meeting many friends and spending time with them, rather than sitting alone and watching television at home. The creches are equipped with indoor games, a library and even medical assistance. Times have changed for senior citizens. The younger generation is trying, within their own limitations, to make life comfortable for them.
