Fathers are no longer willing to wait patiently in the waiting room; they want to be a part of the excited team that welcomes the baby. Brad Pitt is said to have cut the umbilical cords of his twins. Pitt had declared that it was very emotional and rewarding. Indian stars too are following the trend. Men who have been part of the process feel that all men should witness the event because it makes the bond between mother, child and father much stronger.

Changing Face of Men
Earlier, men were expected to be strong and unemotional; but today, it is ok and acceptable to be emotional and sensitive about their children. A lot of hospitals are now encouraging men to come into the labour room; witnessing the event overwhelms them to such an extent that they are able to lend a helping hand in the day-to-day life of the child.
