Is it because of the kind of work women do, or because of the different environments that they are exposed to? Well, researchers aren't sure, but what they are very sure about is that women harbour more bacteria on their hands than men do! Women also seem to have more types of bacteria on their hands too! The reason could be that the skin of men and women is different. Men have skin that is more acidic and that could be the reason that it attracts fewer bacteria.
Other Reasons
Other reasons attributed towards the astounding find are skin thickness, the hormone factor and the fact that women apply much more cosmetics and skin moisturizer than men do. What men are now worried about is whether it is ok to hold the hand of a girl that they don't know very well. Researchers say that most of the bacteria in our body are harmless and therefore it shouldn't stop one from showing affection!
