We've heard so much about passive smokinghow it can lead to lung cancer and other dangerous diseases. Further research now indicates that women, who have been exposed to passive smoking as children or as adults, will have problems in conceiving or may even suffer miscarriages. This means that fathers, brothers, husbands (sisters and mothers too, in some cases!) have to be very careful when they are around their loved ones.
Can't Smell!
People who smoke are likely to lose their ability to smell the everyday smells of life and second hand smokers are twice as likely to have chronic coughs and laryngitis. Teenagers do attempt to stop smoking after the first two months they have started. Some are successful, but others take up the habit after a period of struggle. Girls are more likely to try and succeed in kicking the habit. Health researchers have a practical solution to the problembanning the production of cheap cigarettes. Is the government listening?
