Music and Cholesterol
With the public ban on smoking from October 2, a lot of chain smokers are going to have a problem. The easiest thing to do, say health specialists is to slowly give up on smoking. The first and foremost thing that the smoker must do is to believe in herself and tell herself that she can kick the habit. Secondly, the person must be aware of the fact that the brain will send messages to the body to pick up the cigarette. What the person must do is fight that urge by focussing on something else.
Cravings
Such cravings may last up to three months and in some cases, it may even last for 6 months. So each day becomes a battle but it has to be a battle well fought. Specialists advise that smokers can chew gum or put on the patch where slow nicotine flows into the bloodstream. This is less harmless than taking smoke directly into the lungs. Good exercise will take the mind off the habit and will also give back the appetite that most smokers don't have. The pleasantest part of not smoking is that there is no stench around you and you have extra money to spend!
