Sania Mirza pulled out of her singles match against Czech Republic Iveta Benesova. Three months ago she had a surgery on her right wrist and this began to give her problems on court. Sania could not control her tears as she left the court because the Olympics are ultimately any player's dream. Sania is the first woman from India to have even made it to the Olympics, thereby placing Indian women on a unique pedestal. Sania said that she was struck by the spirit of the game that went beyond language, culture or backgrounds. With over 200 countries competing, it is this oneness that the Olympics aim at.
