Alisha Abdullah started riding bikes at the age of 8 and now aims at winning the JK Tyre National Road Racing Championship. Of course, from there, she would like to go on to the international championships. The 600-CC Honda CBR that she rides weighs 200 kg. but she goes around on it like it is child's play, touching sometimes 210 kms. an hour! Alisha has won the national championships seven times and her trainer is her father.

Tough but Encouraging

Alisha concedes that it is tough going racing with and against men since there are no women contestants in the 110 CC and 600 CC. But she also admits that the men are generally encouraging and helpful. The Rotary presented her with the Young Achievers award recently and the motorbike racer said that this would motivate her to outperform her earlier races. Congratulations!
