The Domestic Violence Act was brought in to help women fight off their violent husbands. But certain clauses in the act (which men think are ridiculous) have caused the other gender to come together to protest. They now want separate ministries for the welfare of men to help them combat the crusade against what they think are pseudo women! These men feel that women are also the perpetuators of violence at times and the men now have no protection!

Gender Neutral

Men contend the Domestic Violence Act in India works against men, whereas in other countries, the law is neutral. Men allege that in many families, women use the domestic violence act to arm-twist their husbands and in-laws into getting done what they want. Harassed men feel that the Act will not cement homes, but will break homes, because men will want to run away before they get more than the rolling pin!
