Australia has been the second most popular destination for Indian students who wish to go abroad and study, but it may not be so easy to get that visa anymore. Indian students have now been placed in the high risk slot by the Australian government, not because of the terrorist attacks but because students who study in Australia sometimes take up jobs that have little to do with their education or even go for jobs that require no education. Some professors are unhappy with the new label because they have always found that Indian students are both positive and hard working.
5 Visa Assessment Levels
There are five assessment levels. Level 1 is for countries that have no barriers at all, which holds true for the USA. Level 5 is given to the country with the highest risk. No country falls under this category, but India has fallen to level 4 (from level 3) and now shares the place with countries like China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, etc. The situation will make it difficult for students to get their entry into the country. The mistake committed by certain individuals is becoming a burden for those least involved.
