Bill Gates is in the news again. He has joined hands with other big powers to launch a super expensive anti-tobacco campaign not only in the States but also in India. Attempts will be made to educate people on passive smoking. It is hoped that stringent measures will be introduced to stop people from smoking. It is also hoped that people will understand the ill effects that smoking have on health. The government has constantly been pleading with the film industry not to have such scenes on the silver screen. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has decided to quit smoking because his children hate to see him smoking. This should make an impact on the fans of Shah Rukh Khan.

Joining Hands
It is felt that activists, health professionals, NGOs and government officials must join hands in this campaign. People around the world are still unaware of the public ban on smoking. Youth in the age group of 12-16 must be targeted by the press. With a role model like Bill Gates behind the campaign, it is bound to have the desired effect on the young. As the saying goes, catch them young and put them on the right track.
