The Johns Hopkins institute has come across a very interesting findyou can get children to respond to math if you introduce numbers in a fun way at an early age. By doing this, parents will be introducing the kind of thinking that is essential for algebra at a later age. Researchers say that it doesn't take much time and neither does it take a lot of money. These concepts can be taught by using things that are found at home. For example, three year olds can be taught to put together the forks in a pile, the bigger spoons in another and the smaller spoons in yet another.

When placing biscuits or toffees in the hands of a toddler, all the parent has to do is to say, "Here are your toffeesone, two.." or "How do you want your sandwich cutin the shape of a triangle, a rectangle, a square..?" Sounds simple, doesn't it? Set your child on the road to mathematics the fun way!
