Child custody issue has sparked a furor among men who feel that in a custody battle they are born losers. An organisation called Child Rights Initiative for Shared Parenting was formed on the Internet in the month of June. Already over 200 parents have joined the initiative because they feel that the child should have a natural access to both parents. The group feels that since women too are working and have almost the same time as the fathers, there is no special, natural bonding between mother and child. Many courts also feel that because remarriage is so common, the girl child will be safer with her father than with her stepfather.
Father's BlogFathers are bitter that children are being asked to decide about their own fate in a judicial battle because children do not always know best, but the court too is sometimes left with no other option. These fathers feel that the laws are totally in favour of women and there should be a ministry just for children because children too need to come out of the shadow of mothers. Fathers today are really taking their roles seriously.
