When you are feeling stressed out or depressed, you do tend to eat a little more than usual. Eat the right kind of food so that you feel better, both bodily and in mind. If you pop in a berry one by one and roll them in your mouth, not only are they a good source of vitamin C but they also help fight a stress hormone called cortisol! Pop in a handful of nuts like walnuts which add to vitamin B or almonds that help to fight the cellular damage caused by stress.

Oranges and Chocolates

Oranges are said to be great for lowering blood pressure and cortisol. So instead of drinking orange juice, take time to peel an orange and take in the juice. When on one of those deeper depression trips, reach out for a bar of dark chocolate because while indulging yourself a little you are also eating something that helps fight against cancer and heart disease. Tempting foods also do seem to do us good!
