The fag end of 2008 is seeing a lot of young achieves in the field of sports and not just in cricket; we also have wrestlers, shooters and shuttlers. Pankaj Advani from the world of billiards, Saina Nehwal from the world of badminton and Sourav Ghoshal from the world of squash have done the nation proud by their performance. Saina is the first woman from India to have entered the semi final of a super series event and made it to the quarter final, which she did in Thailand. She is now ranked No. 12.
More Than Cricket
Saurav Ghosal is the young man to look out for in squash. His determination, speed and agility are qualities that have helped him win the greatest title of his career in France, where he won $15,000! Pankaj Advani has already won five world titles. Pankaj's passion for billiards grew while he watched his brother play at the local billiards parlours. Pankaj was the youngest Senior National Champion at the age of 17. More people are talking about young people in the world of sports after the Olympics. It shows why we need such a show every four years!
