Investment Bankers never had it so good and neither did engineers who were recruited for the finance market by big companies like Lehman Brothers and Merryl Lynch. However, with the companies being either taken over or filing for bankruptcy, IT industries decided to invite the ex-employees to their own companies because of their savvyness as far as finance is concerned and also because of the global contacts that these people have. Clients are willing to talk and negotiate with people from these industries.
Small Numbers
Companies like Wipro and Infosys have recruited them in small numbers because their finance sector does need such people. IT companies also know that when the investment banking sector booms again, these employees will leave the ship, but they would like to make use of these recruits for as long as they can.
