Your wedding is definitely the most important day of your life. You don`t want to make any mistakes on this day, not even with the selection of songs and music. Wedding songs are played at the wedding ceremony and at other traditions followed before or after the event. With a sheer number of songs, it becomes a difficult task to choose the right wedding music and musicians. Make sure that the music you choose suits each different part of the day. More is better than less in terms of your song selections! If you are selecting songs for someone else then you need to be even more careful. You can play pre-recorded songs, or you can arrange a live music, depending on the traditions of your wedding ceremony.

You can make a list of songs you want to play at your wedding ceremony. Always keep in mind the choice of your spouse while selecting wedding songs. His/her preference matters as its not only your wedding. You can include traditional wedding songs and some romantic songs loved by your spouse. There are certain songs, loved by your family members, that can be included in your wish list.

Always keep in mind the theme of your wedding ceremony while selecting songs. Your music must complement with your wedding style. It is not at all necessary to play the similar tracks that you often heard in other weddings. The music can be set in accordance with the style of your wedding like it can be traditional, religious, contemporary, fun, and romantic.

Select the parts of your wedding ceremony where music is required. Its your wedding and not a musical show so keep it short and simple. The music can be played at the time of bride and groom entry, during the ceremony, and at the reception. If you`re marrying in a place of worship, remember to get your list of selections approved by the wedding coordinator or celebrant. Some religions or houses of worship have strict rules about what sort of music is appropriate for a wedding; others have no rules at all. The only way to know for sure is to ask. You can arrange a special request section during your ceremony, where anyone can dedicate a song to he/she wants. This idea will help your guests to enjoy your wedding ceremony to the fullest, and they will remember it for the lifetime.

Post wedding there is always a celebration being arranged by the family and friends called reception. It is basically arranged to welcome the new guest to their family. Reception is the major part of your wedding ceremony that needs enormous music being played and all relatives and friends dance and celebrate. You can choose a variety of songs being played at your reception.

If you still find it complex then you can visit a music store near you. You will get latest collections of CD`s and DVD`s there, based on wedding and different traditions that are followed.  At the end I will say, listen to your heart and do not pump yourself as it is the most important event of your life. Just combine some tracks that you and your loved ones are fond of.
