The Indian Wedding is no longer just about rituals and customs, but it is also about lots of fun and feasting. Food is one of the main aspects of Indian wedding celebration, and one will find various types of Indian Wedding Menus in the different states of the country. After the marriage ceremony, all the guests are invited for the special Wedding Reception party for the special wedding dinner. Bengalis themselves are very fond of different types of food dishes and therefore they have created such delicacies that are simply irresistible and mouth watering. Previously, the Bengali Wedding Menus were very typical and according to the traditional Wedding Customs, the food used to be served on banana leaves & water in a Khuri (terracotta tumblers). But though the guests are no longer served on a banana leaf, the main course has not changed much. Like the Bengali cuisine is incomplete without the mention of fish and its numerous types recipes that are served to the wedding guests.

There are few specialties of the Bengali Wedding Menus, and on this Special Wedding Occasions, this authentication makes the Bengali food one of the best all over. There use of various spices and flavored seeds gives a very special tangy flavor to the food, leaving the guests wanting more. Usually the young members of the family serve the guests, though nowadays, caterers do that work. The Bengalis like everybody else is also making changes and variations in their wedding menus. Some modern types of Bengali Wedding Menus include the Naan, Dal Makhni, Veg Jhalfreizi, Fish Paturi, Crab Curry, Biriyani, Chicken Curry, Fish Kalia, Begun Pora, Fish Cutlet, besides Rice or Polao and not to mention the mouth watering Misti Doi, Malpua, Papaya Chutney, Tomato Chutney, Papad and so on. And last but not the least, the whole meal ends with various types of Pans served from a separate Pan stall.
