One of the well known films on wedding is The Wedding Planner. This heartwarming romantic comedy movie was loved by everyone. The movie was released on January 26, 2001. It topped the list of Hollywood movies at the box office. The Wedding Planner had an earning of 13,510,293 million dollars on its first weekend. In the US it earned 60,400,856 million dollars while worldwide it earned 94,728,529 million dollars.

The Wedding Planner had its lead actors as Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey. World famous singer Jennifer Lopez had acted brilliantly in this romantic movie which remains a favorite among all. In the movie Jennifer Lopez plays the character of a wedding planner in San Francisco. The name of the character was Maria `Mary` Fiore. With her busy work life and planning of various events she neglects her own personal life. Maria`s life slowly changes when she is saved from an accident by Dr. Steve Edison played by Matthew McConaughey.

Both Steve and Mary spend a splendid evening in the park. They watch an old movie - Two Tickets To Broadway. They dance and nearly kiss which gets interrupted by a rain shower. Mary tells her friends that she has finally found a gentleman that she likes. But she soon comes to know that Steve Edison is engaged to Fran Donolly (Wilson), her biggest client.

With this Mary gets reunited with Massimo played by Chambers who was her childhood friend. He asks Mary to marry him and after a slight hesitation, she spells "o.k." using a scrabble board. On wedding day, Mary is all ready and reaches the altar with Massimo. But their wedding is interrupted by Mary`s father who believes that her daughter is not in love with her groom-to-be.

Meanwhile in the movie, The Wedding Planner, Steve and Fran`s wedding fails because of their doubts about marriage. After this Steve head towards as fast as he could to the city hall to stop the marriage of Mary and Massimo.

Steve finds Mary with the help of Massimo and he asks her to dance at the same park where they met for the first time and fell in love. The scenes of The Wedding Planner were shot in Golden Gate Park. It was shot at the Japanese Tea Garden and the Music Concourse between the old California Academy of Sciences and the old De Young Museum. With the movie at number 1, Jennifer Lopez not only became the first actress and singer to have a film but also an album (J. Lo) at number one in the same week.
