Help your child make a clay handprint for dad. Know that he would treasure this simple, easy to make and yet a simply adorable gift. This simple project will make a memorable gift and will also be a wonderful source of conversation in years to come as your child grows. You'll find yourself surprised by the memories this quick project will inspire in the future.
What you'll need:
- Modelling clay
- Aluminium foils
- Pie tin
Work a baseball-size piece of clay until is softens a little. Put some clay into the aluminium foil pie tin, and have the child press his hand or foot into it. You can use a pencil to poke a hole in the clay for hanging. Before the clay hardens, be sure to scratch the date on it. When it dries, the child can paint it and further individualise it.
