Remedy your bed-sharing dilemmas with these proven shut-eye techniques.
1. Problem: He snores like a buzz saw.
Solution: Snoring often occurs when people sleep on their backs. So put a tennis ball in a sock and pin it to the back of his pajama shirt to keep him lying on his side. If this doesn't work or if his breathing is erratic, consult a physician as it may be a medical problem.
2. Problem: You like it hot, he likes it cold.Solution: Fold blankets lengthwise and add them to your side only or place a fan in the room and aim it just at him.
3. Problem: He tosses and turns.Solution: Have him avoid eating, smoking, or drinking caffeine before bed. If that doesn't work, he may have periodic limb movement disorder or restless leg syndrome, which can be treated by a specialist.
