C for LoveIt isn't just a diamond that is judged by its four Cs ( cut, colour, carat and clarity).

Every relationship needs four Cs in order to flourish well.
This year, make a resolution to change your relationship for the better. Use the C rule.

Contentment, commitment, confidence and communication.

CONTENTMENT: Don't yearn for the moon. Howling for it can leave you frustrated and discontented. Your marriage will always fare better if you think you are in a good relationship. Relish and revel in what you do have. There is always scope for happy celebration.

Perfection isn't a necessary ingredient to happiness. Contentment is. But you could work on being happier and leading a better quality of life. Every step you take should lead you forward. A negative mindset could take you backwards.

Fill your life with contentment.

COMMITMENT: Are you putting in your best effort into your marriage? Or are you giving up too easily? Or are there other things of greater priority in your life?

Don't read me wrong. Marriage is not meant to be hard work. It's meant to be enjoyed - make no mistake about that.

Marriage isn't a noose round your neck; it's a tie that binds hearts together.

It has got its ups and downs, but so does everything else in life.

Every marriage needs two committed partners in order to flourish. Indifference or the lack of care on the part of any one of them could spoil things. One should firmly believe that their marriage is of topmost priority in their lives.
Believe in your marriage. It's bound to work out.

CONFIDENCE: It's the key to a good relationship. Don't plague yourself with doubts and misgivings about your spouse. Unless you have very good reason to do so, believe in his love for you. And his commitment to the marriage. His ideas may not be the same as yours, but believe in them all the same.

Trust begets trust. Love begets love. It moves in reverse gear too. You don't have confidence in your husband - and he won't trust you either. It could be a vicious circle - or a virtuous one. Which one would you rather have?

COMMUNICATION: The world would come to a standstill without it. Don't ever doubt its importance in your marriage.

Is something worrying you? Talk to your husband about it.
Are you deliriously happy? Share your happiness with him. Speak to him about your ideas, opinions, plans, change of plans. You don't need a reason to communicate.

Communicate with touches. A hug can speak a thousand words. A gentle touch can touch his soul. A smile can light up your love.

And remember. Listening is an important part of communication too. Communication is a two way street.

C for sweet love! The four Cs lead to a better relationship!
