When it comes to love, men and woman feel and think differently. For women, it all boils down to commitment and marriage whereas men totally beg to differ. Unlike women, men don`t just get ready to commit to a relationship right after first date. Because of this alteration between the thinking process of both the sexes, men have long been labeled commitment phobic. 

Men and women have long been battling out the differences between them and so long as commitment is concerned, the warfare goes something like this: Men like to go around sowing their wild oats and women constantly find ways to trap men into committed relationships. Well, it`s true but not applicable to every man and woman in the world. As a matter of fact, many women sow wild oats and men look for a fulfilling relationship, although the number of these is very less.

It is a fact that women, as compared to their counterparts, put in more efforts into building a lasting relationship. This is because they are biologically programmed to create and nurture that`s why whenever they feel an intense connection with a man, they get carried away and begin to build a relationship and maintain it further.

If a woman feels even a bit connected to a man, she starts experiencing something really fascinating or magical about that connection. Since they feel that it`s very special, they try and hold on to it. Women think short term and often believe in `happily ever after`, thereby, they tend to believe that this one is going to turn into a deeper relationship.

On the flip side, men see commitment as a responsibility rather than a feeling or a deeper connection. They weigh long term outcomes of a relationship – its effects on their lives, invasion in their space and too many changes in their lifestyle are some of the concerns men have. Apart from that, they see the accountability of starting a family and providing for it for the rest of their lives. Therefore, they try and avoid that responsibility for as long as they can. But that doesn`t mean that they are not willing to commit.

When the right woman comes along, every man wants to commit and establish a long term relationship. And for that, the woman should impress and influence him in an emotional and intense manner so that he becomes ready to make the shift from bachelorhood into a family life.
