Some say marriages are made in heaven and we are here on earth just waiting for the right person to come into our lives. Can it be possible that the person best fitted for you may have set foot on earth even before you are born? Should we then still accept them as our life partners knowing well enough that they are elder, this is the question most men have to face when they fall in love with someone elder to them.

Many men are forced not to accept that women who is elder to them as their life partners because of the constant pressure from the so called societies rules and culture. It is true that women mature faster as comparison to men but still, age is also a determining factor in gaining experience.
No matter how tough a man tries to act, in the end he wants someone special to take care of him and love him in the manner his mother does most of the time.

Most people believe that by accepting a younger woman as their life partner they have better chance of understanding each other’s needs and feelings. Most of the men also believe to the fact that a younger woman can give birth to healthier offspring as compare to a woman of older age. This is but a grave misconception, the health of a child does not depend totally on the age difference between the couples (especially woman being younger) it depends on the health of the genes.
Men community of present day stands divided on the preference over age of life partner. Most men have an opportunity to interact and understand females of either same age group or slightly elder, they get no or least chance to understand the feelings of a younger woman. This in the longer run may result in mismatch of personality and an eventual disharmony in their household.

On the other hand if we look at younger woman they tend to be sensitive to the attitude and preference of their spouses. They tend to respect their husbands more and try to help as much as possible in their success. They act as a pillar of strength for their men. Elder woman are already self independent and hence do not like men interfering in their life and their work, this results in unnecessary fights and arguments.

Indian society also considers it a taboo for a younger man marrying an elder woman. They give a simple reason saying that if the girl was so good then why was she unmarried till date. These are some of the questions which need to be thought off again and again.

There are numerous celebrities who have married elder woman the best example being Sachin Tendulkar, his wife Anjali is 7 years elder to him and still they are leading a very happy and successful married life. It all depends on the extent the man is willing to love a woman the age is just a mere number.
