July 1, 2009 - Recent researches have revealed a delighting fact for the women. This has attributed an all new percept to the usage of aspirin to the womenfolk. For a long time, the women who were taking aspirin were very much concerned about the element that dosing of aspirin leads to internal bleeding. They should be happy to know that scientific studies have spelled aspirin as an effective means for treating cardiovascular diseases in women. Researches have also made it clear that the dosage of aspirin as low as 81 mg is equally effective as the higher dose of 325 mg, although searches and clinical trials are still going on at a random scale to find out the optimum dose.
Enough scientific evidences have come across, to state it clearly that aspirin in general lessens the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Though, till now it is not very vivid that whether it has much advantage in fighting the stable cardio vascular ailments in some women or not. The study continued on the basis of analysis of the medical record of 8, 928 women, who are on their post menopausal stage. All of them had a record of heart attack, stroke or transient ischemic attack; else they have passed through angioplasty, angina or coronary bypass surgery in order to have an improvement in blood circulation. The health record of the participants is been observed for about 6.5 years. The inference has been quite favorable. Its been detected that about 25 percent lower risk factors followed for the ones who have reported taking aspirin than the ones who havent taken it often.
Lastly, the discussion can be concluded on the note that on an overall perspective, evidences are still not enough to prove that aspirin significantly diminish the risk of stroke, heart attacks and other cardio vascular diseases except for the women in the age group of seventies. On the other hand, researches also could not specify to a greater extent that there lies a significant difference between death rate on taking 81 mg or 325 mg of aspirin.
