Is veg diet the best?

Is going veggie the answer? Is a vegetarian diet better or is it the best? Research has shown that people who are on a vegetarian diet definitely consume less number of calories, and their fat intake also gets considerably reduced.

Losing weight on a vegetarian diet - a myth or reality?

  • Vegetarians tend to have lower body weight as against their non-veg counterparts.
  • It is important to combine low fat content along with the vegetarian diet, if weight loss is what you are looking for.
  • Consider eating vegetables rich in fibre
  • Avoid foods that add calories or are poor in nutrition

Planning a veg diet

It is important that you plan your vegetarian diet in order to ensure that it is completely balanced. In a non-veg diet, animal products are a good source of protein, calcium, iron, and Vitamins. So, what should you look for to balance a veg diet?

  • Get your Calcium from soya based products, cheese ( in moderation), paneer, broccoli and other greens
  • Protein is found in nuts, beans, paneer, soya, spinach, peas and eggs.
  • Spinach, beans, breakfast cereal, various daals ( lentils) are a rich source for Iron
  • Bean sprouts are a rich source of Vitamin B-12
  • Get your roughage from wheat, rice, fibrous vegetables like beans, cabbage, gourd etc.
  • The importance of fruits has to be emphasized: oranges for Vitamin C, apples and pomegranates for iron, bananas for trace minerals etc

If you are planning a transition from a non-veg diet to a veg diet, make sure you do it gradually. Make changes you can live with and make sure that they are nutritionally sound.

I want to open fast food rest. in various cities which only soyabean made dishes will served. so plz give the line of action

our digestive system is function like vegetarian animals like elephant,cow, goat,etc, all non vegetarian animals are like dog,cat,lion etc ,their system is different than veg animals so human is a vegetarian digestive system.
