Items needed:
- a large piece of waxed paper
- a wooden toothpick
- 5 small cups of water
- red, green, yellow and blue food colouring agents
- an eyedropper or straw
- paper towels(optional)
Watch the fun:
Put 3-4 drops of the red colour into one of the small cups of water. Do the same with green, yellow and blue colours in the other cups of water. You now have 4 cups of "water paints". Leave the fifth cup of water uncoloured. Now spread the waxed paper on a flat surface. With the eyedropper, put three or four drops of each water paint on the waxed paper. Rinse the eyedropper in the cup of clear water first, before you move on to the next water paint. Now dip one end of a toothpick in the cup of clear water and slowly bring it very close to the water drops on the waxed paper, but do not touch the water drops.
The water drops glide smoothly over the waxed paper towards the toothpick and create a beautiful pattern or design!
