Over the past few years, everyone has been going green. From organic foods to beauty products to clothes to even toys for children – the market is flooded with products that are made of eco-friendly materials and/or are recyclable. Parents, these days, are more concerned about the well-being of their children and are reluctant to allow them to play with toys that include harmful material as well as lead-paint.

Since kids are always putting their toys into their mouths, it`s of utmost concern that these toys are made of material that will not pose harm to their health. Keeping this in mind, many toy manufacturers are now coming forth with toys made of eco-friendly materials-- most notably, natural woods, recycled plastic, organic fiber as well as water-based and non-toxic paints. Many of the manufacturers are making use of bamboo which is safe and highly sustainable.

Apart from being safe, traditional craftsmanship and sustainable products used for making these toys contribute to the environment and the health of the children. Most parents think that eco-friendly toys are made of wood and thus, can`t be well-crafted to be available in various shapes. However, the eco-friendly toys are impeccably finished and come in attractive designs, fascinating shapes and splendid colors. Some kinds of eco-friendly toys available in the market are:

Wagons
Wagons are usually made of wood and come in various shapes like cars, trucks, bikes, push and pull carts, carriers and more. They are either made of wood or recycled plastic and since they are for young ones, the craftsmen ensure that there are no sharp edges on them. The push/pull carts and carriers come with a box wherein toys can be stuffed and carried around as well. Those that are made of woods are crafted using solid beech wood and have oil-based finish plus they are painted with water-based colors.  

Soft Balls
Especially designed for toddlers, soft balls are made of soft organic terrycloth and 100 % organic cotton. To add colors to these balls, non-toxic low impact dyes have been used. The balls come in various colors and sizes to encourage the baby to crawl and/or walk across the room. Moreover, these balls come with easy grips and can be grabbed conveniently by the babies.

Soft Toys
Whether a bunny, a bear, a monkey or a dog; soft toys are a hit amongst children. And these days, most manufacturers make soft toys using 100 percent organic cotton for stuffing and natural fibers for the surface and clothing sans the harsh chemicals. Either a day time grappling or a night time cuddling, mothers can give their kids these soft toys anytime without worrying about their health.
