These days, many easy ways to test pregnancy have cropped up. With the advancement in technology testing pregnancy has become very much convenient. There are different types of pregnancy tests through which one can test pregnancy. These tests augurs well both for the mother who is expecting and the growth of the baby as detection of pregnancy in the earlier stage can enable the expecting mother to take more care of themselves. Each pregnancy test has its own significance. One should not rely fully on pregnancy tests done at home, this test gives a confirmation that women should visit their doctor so that other tests can be taken to detect whether the case is risk free or complicated, whether there are any abnormalities or everything is normal.

1.Pregnancy test at home via dipstick
This is a type of pregnancy test which is undertaken at the initial stage by almost all the expecting mothers. This test involves usage of test strip or dipstick which one has to hold in stream of urine or have to dip in the sample of urine. If there is a change in the color of the test strip or dipstick then one should consider that they have conceived and are pregnant.

2.Pregnancy test at home via a test device
Another pregnancy test that one can do at home is the usage of a test device. All that the mother has to do is collect few urine samples in a cup and either dip the device in the collected urine sample or drop enough drops of urine on the device. If a change in color of the test device occurs then it indicates that the pregnancy test is positive.

3.Quantitative Blood-Serum Pregnancy test
One can also call this test as beta hCG-test. This test has the capacity of measuring exact hCG amount in the expecting mother’s blood. Quantitative blood-serum pregnancy test can skillfully detect even small traces of hCG, therefore it is the most accurate test. 4.Qualitative Blood-Serum Pregnancy test
With the help of this test one can only get to know whether hCG, the hormones of pregnancy are present or not. Thus it only confirms the pregnancy. The accuracy of qualitative blood test is similar to that of pregnancy test done by urine at home.

5.Pelvic Examination
Pregnancy test, like blood tests is done at the clinic by the doctors. Examination of pelvic is done after the passage of missed period, say after 6 – 7 weeks. Cervix is being checked by the gynecologist by inserting 2 fingers deep inside the expecting mother’s vagina. By doing this the doctor can judge that whether there is a change in the size of fallopian tubes, ovaries and uterus. These organs generally enlarge during pregnancy.
