Introduction:
Generally most of us have very fond and good memories of bedtime stories. The bed time stories are generally those story books which are passed onto the children, which were once prior favorite to their parents as well. One cannot deny the fact that the story books generalizes and imports new sense of imagination in a little brain, every time they are made to read a story, the actual intention is to teach them about the world. Now here are lists of stories, out of which one definitely knows some and does not have to be a child to enjoy the evergreen child stories which are in a way immortal. The list of children’s stories is never ending; one may visit their nearby library and may get confused after looking at the variations of the books stored in line. Hence to overcome this dilemma below is a list of all-time top ten children’s stories, which will definitely help ones understanding, the next time one visit a library or a book store.

“The sacred Garden”:
The first and foremost in the list is “The Sacred Garden” which was written by Frances Hodgson Burnett way back in the year 1911. This very story is about a garden which transformed the lives of a group of children. Orphaned Mary Lennox, who was portrayed as a sick child in this story was sent to England after her upbringing in India. On her visit to the guardian uncle’s house, he finds out a garden where no one is allowed to enter. Marry along with his companion Dickon and with the guardian’s son Colin another sickly child made way to the garden. Now read the story to figure out what happened next.

“The Little Prince”:
The next famous book in the list of all time children’s stories is the “the Little Prince” written by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. This is a real life story and the characterizations were drawn according to the situation and this is the story of Exupery himself. This story was a big hit following its publication in the year 1943, a year after writing this story he disappeared into the midst of the Mediterranean Sea on a wartime mission.

“Grimm’s fairy Tales”:
Now coming to the list of fairy tales; first comes the “Grimm’s fairy tales” which was collected by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. This particular book contains some of the world’s best fairy tales like the Rapunzel then the famous Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, the Elves and the shoemaker, and sleeping beauty. This book was published way back in 1812 but people of all ages love reading these stories even today.

“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” written by the great Roald Dahl, its popularity went sky high and a movie was released in accordance to the story of this book with the same name and acted upon by some of the great actors of Hollywood.“The Hobbit” written by J.R.R. Tolkien another classic affair released in the year 1937.Apart from this famous five the other story books are The “Harry Potter” series written by Joke. Rowling, “Peter Pan” by J.M. Barrie, “The wind in the willows” by Kenneth Grahame, “The Winnie in the Pooh stories” by A.A. Milne and last but not the least the “Alice in wonderland” by Lewis Carroll.
