Akshat/Rice Grains is brought from the various paddy fields in India. Among all the Pooja items that are used during Poojas in India, the importance of Akshat/Rice Grains cannot be denied. Pooja is an event of immense importance in the Indian culture. There are numerous rituals that are followed during all the Poojas in this country. Akshat/Rice Grains is one of the primary things without which the worship of the deity cannot be accomplished in a proper way. They are actually the symbols of prosperity and wealth. Poojas in India are performed for some certain reasons. Among them getting prosperity in life is one of the most important. This prosperity is seen as the outcome of peace in everyone`s life. The god or the goddess is worshiped to make them happy. This is undeniably a characteristic feature of all the pagan religions throughout the whole world. There are also instances of Greek religion where rice was considered as the symbol of prosperity. So, the Indian Hindu tradition is not an exception to this practice. Generally the priest are the main directors of all the Poojas in this country and that is why they are the main people who decides the important things that are required for performing Poojas.

The Akshat/Rice Grains is brought from the various paddy fields in India. The element is actually nothing but the unbroken pieces of rice. But they are offered to the deity without the husks. There are also various types of rice that are available in India. Hindu people are very meticulous about the use of the particular kind of items in certain Poojas. So, the Akshat/Rice Grains is also made from some of the major kinds of rice that are produced in India. These elements do not only mean the part of religion, but the integral part of the deep rooted Indian culture as well. Akshat/Rice Grains is even exported to many foreign countries for Pooja purposes. This is mainly because of the non residential Indians (NRI). It is seen that they are very fond of these little elements as these things remind them of their culture which they may have left behind long ago.

The husk portion of unbroken rice is known as Akshat in Hindi and it is a type of rice which does not germinate. This type of rice cannot be used to grow rice plants. This means you cannot expect a rice plant to grow by seeding Akshat rice on the soil. It is a symbolical suggestion of the fact that rice is the last birth. Thus, by offering Akshat/Rice Grains in your auspicious poojas one can expect to get the divine blessing which will help one to live life in a spiritual way and when he dies, he is totally liberated from the cycle of life and death cycles.

Thus, it is a religious belief that if you offer Akshat/Rice Grains to your gods and goddesses, you will get the divine blessings from them which will help you to grow and prosper in your endeavor.
