Emotional ill health can be the result of many underlying causes and some may even be because of physical problems. Even food allergies or reactions can cause an emotional upheaval. Deficiency in vitamins and minerals or even hormonal imbalances can create emotional disturbances. Depression can arise due to low levels of magnesium in the body. Incidences like sexual abuse in childhood can surface many years later and cause havoc in one's emotional life. Most often, we are ashamed to even acknowledge the fact that we are emotionally disturbed as there is a social stigma attached to such conditions. So we tend to put them on the back burner which only compounds the matter.
Here then are a few common symptoms that you can go through and check for yourself if you are affected with any emotional illnesses.
