Shirdi is an important Hindu pilgrim centre for all faiths. The Saibaba temple established here in 1922 is well known for the noble service it offers, continuing the legacy of Shri Saibaba. It was here that Shri Saibaba provided miraculous cure to the devotees who came to him seeking relief from incurable diseases. Shirdi provides various facilities for its devotees. This includes a hospital run by the Sri Saibaba Sansthan, which provides the latest medical facilities for the underprivileged.Shirdi is located approximately 296 kms from Mumbai, in the State of Maharashtra.The nearest railway station is Kopargaon, 15 kms on the Manrad-Daund section of the Central railways.It can be approached by road from Nasik and Ahmednagar.
