The art of living is something everyone needs to cultivate in life. Each of us has to learn to handle life with all its ups and downs and live it to the best of our abilities. But that`s easier said than done, isn`t it?
People of the world can be broadly categorised. Life for some is a struggle for daily bread they strive to survive. People who belong to this category cannot be expected to inculcate in themselves the art of living.
In the second category, we have people who simply exist. `We are here and we need to stay on` is the attitude of this section.
The third category is the one that can develop the art of living. Anyone who demonstrates keen interest in improvement of life learns the art of living.
Now what do we mean by the art of living?
Karl Marx called life a battle, while many think otherwise. There is obviously no one meaning to life.
Each one`s perspective of life is different. They are all right in their own way we need not follow any common rule.
Each of us must follow what seems right to us. Do not base decisions on another person`s experience your own experiences will teach you what life is about.
Listed here are a few points to help develop the art of living:
Decide what life means to you only then can you experience the art of living.
Enjoy everything around you. Even in the making of a cup of coffee, beyond the taste, lies the love and effort put in by your host. Look at the finer aspects of everything and you`ll stop complaining.
Make the best of what you have. Think highly of what you possess and happiness will come your way.
Convert each experience into a lesson.
Do not talk about past glory or stress future plans. You`ll kill the present. Live the present and enjoy every bit of it.
Life is a short journey that you undertake. Happiness lies within you. When you allow it to blossom you`ve mastered the art of living!
