Nurture yourself

To the most important person in your life    You!

"I deserve happiness. I deserve love and care. I am worth it."

Do you believe that this is true? Then that's half the battle won. Affirm this everyday. Live life like you believed in this affirmation. Watch the world change around you.

Just think about this.

If a small child falls down, do you pick her up and comfort her ....or do you blame her and upset her? If she makes a mistake, do you harbour a grudge forever? If she fails once or even many times, do you give up on her?

Okay. Now you get the picture. There is a child in all of us. That child is the one that wakes up to wonder and has stars in her eyes. And that child too, can make mistakes    fall or fail and not live up to adult expectations.

Now can you find it in yourself to forgive yourself, take pride in the lessons that your falls teach you, and get on with life without bitterness? Like a child?

Here is what Lynda Field has to say

"Try to make sure that every thought or action of the day is one that supports and encourages you. Remember how you would treat that small child    well, treat yourself in exactly the same way. Nurture yourself for a day and the habit may grow."

Try it out. It definitely costs nothing.
