Grandma tells me to respect myself and celebrate my body.
Listen to your body. Never mind the pencil thin look. Give your body proper nourishment. Some people need more food than the others. Don`t deny your body this nutrition and energy. It makes it hard to function normally. Provide yourself proper rest. Are you sleeping enough? Or do you grab a few hours every night? You need sleep to be sprightly. Accept your body the way it is. Don`t punish it at the gym, trying to transform it in impossible ways. Settle for healthy exercise.
Listen to your heart. What do you really want in life? Never mind the current trends in careers. How would you ideally like to spend your life? Where do your interests and talents lie? If you can`t make a career of your interests, make a hobby of it. Learn to enjoy your skills, no matter how old fashioned they may seem.
Don`t enslave yourself: Why do you let fashion dictate what you should wear? Is your opinion so unimportant in your own eyes? Pay attention to what you really want in your heart. The reason you are so hassled is because you think you should do what society wants, no matter how much it tires you. Is it not a form of enslavement? Where is the liberalisation you talk about? Are you brave enough to love a man who isn`t modern, no matter how much he appeals to you? Are you listening to your heart then?
Women today have given themselves the freedom to constantly bow to society`s demands. Not its values, but just its trendy demands.
Got a point there, hasn`t she? She`s a great girl, my grandma.
