Shivaratri is an auspicious night observed on the fourteenth night of the dark half of the moon. Moon is the presiding deity of the mind, which has sixteen aspects. On this night, fifteen phases are absent, and with no influence on the agitation of the mind, it is possible to attain full control of one's mental faculties.

It is the day when Shiva, the Supreme Wisdom, takes the Linga form for the benefit of the seekers. In the Margshirsh month, Mahashivaratri is celebrated by performing Akhand Bhajans throughout the night culminating in early morning Darshan and Discourse of Bhagwan Baba.

There have been testimonies from devotees about several miraculous events that have taken place on this auspicious occasion.
