
Simple and quick, fun to do. Ideal family activity.
Collect
- 20" of 4" wide gathered lace
- 10" of 1" wide gathered lace
- 7/8" round wood bead
- doll hair
- 1 square of white felt
- Paint - brown or blue for eyes, red for lips
- Craft wire
- Plaited cord
- 10" nylon thread
- Good glue
Get started
Gather or pleat a 20" piece of 4" wide lace on the wire and twist wire and lace together for the dress.
Glue wood bead on top of the gathered lace for the head.
Gather 10" piece of 1" wide lace on wire for the collar and twist close around base of head.
Make wings out of felt in the shape of a butterfly. Trim with braided cord around the edge.
Glue doll hair on the top of the bead.
Cut a piece of braided cord to fit the top of head (as halo) and glue ends together. Glue on top of hair.
Knot a piece of nylon thread together. Lay on top of wings with the loop above the wings (to use as hanger).
Glue wings to the back of the angel.
Paint eyes and mouth on the wood bead for the face.
