We've made a point all month long. Christmas ....and all other festivals are each unique and special in their many different ways. But are common to all those who celebrate life. Regardless of colour or creed. So, getting into the spirit of Christmas, get yourself a tree. Next, decorate it. Not sure how? It's simple. Here are a few easy steps. Follow, adapt, innovate. Have fun! Good wholesome family fun.
First, you need to buy a tree or cut yourself a branch that is fairly symmetrical. Secure the tree in an attractive pot. Then, let your imagination soar. With just a little help.
Light with serial bulbs of uniform colour - blue or yellow.
Place tinsel garland one-third out from the tree trunk.
Hang a bead garland one-half out from the tree trunk.
Run multi - coloured ribbons throughout the tree.
Place coloured glass bulbs of alternating colour.
Place a few coloured bulbs on the outside of the tree.
Add bows, if desired, at the third row from the bottom of the tree to tie in the ribbons. The ribbons should run through the tree from the outside to two-thirds of the way into the tree.
Add decorated ornaments to outside edges and 2" from tips throughout the tree.
Specialty ornaments, such as angels, should be highlighted. Use mobile ornaments to add movement.
Cotton fluff snow should be put in as a finishing touch.
These are mere basics. It's your tree. Look at it through the eyes of a child.
