We're all born with an ability to heal. We can cure ourselves of stress, anxiety and depression. But more often than not, we choose not to accept the power within us. But once we accept it, we can work wonders with ourselves.

  • To be able to heal yourself, you must believe you can. Doubts create blocks and the healing energy cannot move around it. So, learn to relax and let the energies take over your body. Open your mind to accept the energy with all its healing powers.

  • Have you any kind of illness? Ailments and illnesses occur when there is a block in your body. You no longer feel at ease. The word 'disease' basically means that you are not at ease with yourself. When you acknowledge your lack of ease, you become aware of a block within your body. Awareness is the first step to healing.

  • Blocks can be prevented from happening by not letting tension build up. Tension can and should be released through our breath. Hence comes the importance of conscious breathing. Yogic breathing practices like Pranayama go a long way in ridding the body of tension and toxic emotions. By doing the Pranayama for ten minutes twice a day you are already in the practice of healing yourself with energy. If we don't release the tension, it will accumulate within us. This affects the wellness of the body. And illness is likely to set in.

  • When there are too many people in our aura, it could make us ill. We could be letting too many people into our personal space. We let them control us, advise us and decide what's best for us. It's important that each of us be true to ourselves. Let your energies guide you through the course that you are most comfortable with. The paths that you were meant to walk on. Decide what works best for you, what you are comfortable with in life. If you are not comfortable doing something, don't let others persuade you to do it.

  • Certain foods are more conducive to energy flow. Food in its natural form is always advocated. Healers usually avoid processed foods or those made of animal products. They say such foods impede their healing abilities. They usually avoid salty foods stuff. Juices, fruits and vegetables and plenty of water is said to heighten your psychic awareness.

  • Sometimes your energies get clogged. Exercise helps release it. It paves the way for a smooth flow of the healing energies all through your body. Again, this exercise is meant to be enjoyed. Don't force yourself to reluctantly go though the motions. Enjoy stretching your body, and having a vigorous work out. Revel in your ability to do so. Feel the kinks in your body loosening up. Feel the wellness surge through your body. It is at this time that you should call upon the healing energies to enter you. Your body and mind are free of blocks and clogs. Feel energised and activated.

  • Meditation. Its abilities can never be underrated. Just shutting off the world and letting thoughts flow through you gives you a power that is truly amazing. For the first few days, mundane, everyday thoughts and emotions will make themselves obvious. But with time, they will die down and you will be tune in to your inner voice. This helps increase your healing abilities slowly and steadily. You can then mentally scan your body and urge the healing energy through it.

Use your energy regularly to keep ailments at bay. Don't wait till illness has taken root in your body.
