Mudra or hand
Mudra or hand is a typical physical posture or position. It is basically, a gesture of both the hands. Special form of Mudra or hand locks as well as guides the energy flow in entire body and it reflexes energy to the brain. Each and every area of the hand depicts certain functions of the body and mind. With several movements like stretching, curling, touching and crossing of the fingers and hands, anyone can express feelings and also can talk to the body as well as mind.
Mudra or hand is mainly used in Indian classical dance forms where dancers used to fold their all the ten fingers to create different types of mudras.

Different types of mudras are very famous from the ancient age as at the Khajuraho sculptures and in the murals of Ajanta, many human figures can be seen with several mudras or finger folds. From ancient ages, mudra or hand movements are integral aspects of yoga as well as meditation. According to Indian meditation therapy, there are several types of mudras or hand movements. Gyan Mudra:
In this mudra, both the thumb and the index finger are connected with each other in gentle contact, and on the other hand rest of the fingers remain upright. It is a very familiar form of mudra or hand movement. Several great persons like Mahavir, Gautam Buddha, Guru Nanak and Christ are mainly seen in this pose.

Apan Vayu Mudra:
It is also called as Mritsanjeevini Mudra in which forefinger remains fold down and it touches the tip of the thumb while the little finger should be held in erect position.
Benefits of Apan Vayu Mudra:
This mudra controls all the problems of the heart and it prevent severe heart attack within the first two seconds by providing instant relief from pain.
Pran Mudra:
In this mudra or hand movement, one have to touch the points of the little finger as well as the ring finger to the mouth of the thumb gently.
Benefits of Pran Mudra:
Being an important mudra or hand posture, Pran mudra is considered as a life-giving mudra that provides energy to the body and it also improves the vitality of the body. It also helps to improve the vision of eyes.
Surabhi Mudra:
While doing this mudra or hand movement, one have to join the little finger of one hand with the ring finger of the other hand and vice versa. Like the same way, join the forefinger of one hand with the middle finger of the other hand and vice versa. Only, thumbs will remain free.
Benefits of Surabhi Mudra:
This mudra makes your intellect sharper and it also regulates rheumatic inflammation of the body.
