A real meal is incomplete without drinks. Cocktails are the best option when it comes to drinks. It is relished by both men and women although the ladies prefer it more than men do. One of the most popular cocktails of all is the Cosmopolitan aka Cosmo. It is ruby red colored liquid made with vodka and cranberry juice as the base.  It is served in a martini glass. Cosmo is a glamorous cocktail that leaves one enchanted. The Mojito is another well known cocktail, which is preferred a lot by the ladies. It is basically known to be a summer cocktail. It is made using lime juice, sugar, mint and white rum. It is usually served in a Collins glass. Mojito is truly an invigorating tropical drink and is very easy to make. It is a sweet cocktail and contains lesser amount of alcohol. It is one of the most common cocktails consumed.
       
When listing out the best, one cannot fail to mention Margaritas. It is one of the finest tequila-based cocktails. Tequila, lime juice and orange based liqueur are mixed together in a Margarita, with salt rimmed on its glass. Margaritas can also be made with several different juice mixtures although lemon juice is most commonly served. Ice is a must in a Margarita. Margarita can served in many different glasses but an archetypal glass suits the best.  It is a sharp and delectable drink. Martini ranks amongst one of the world’s best cocktails. Basic Martini is a blend of vermouth and gin adorned with an olive or a slice of lemon. Martini can be made with so many different variations like, if pear flavored vodka is added as the base, its pear martini and similarly if apple flavored vodka is the base, it is called apple martini; both pear martini and apple martini are one of the favorite martinis served. It is usually served in a cocktail glass, without ice.

The Sidecar is one of the oldest classic cocktails. It is a cognac based drink, a mixture of brandy, orange flavored liqueur and lemon juice. It is usually served in sugared cocktail glass with a lemon rind or an orange peel in it. Sidecar is an elegant cocktail but it is not much popular now-a -days. Yet, it is one of the best classic drinks ever served and one should not miss out on it. When planning a party, a celebration, a girls night or just an evening out, it is essential that cocktails are a part of it. Even after a tired day at work, a good cocktail can certainly help refresh the mood.

They are milder than alcohol and liquor. They incorporate various other flavors and are delicious in taste. From sweet to sour, they are available in any form depending on your taste. Making a cocktail at home is pretty simple; you just need to have the right ingredients and their required measurements. Cocktails are fun and one can never get enough of them, there are just too many varieties of it available.
